The book is about the use of local newspapers in the development process in Nigeria. The emphasis had always been to view development from the perspective of reportage by national newspapers. This work, however, attempts a theoretical foundation of Democratic Participant Media Theory, and content analysis and survey research approaches in analyzing development issues using selected local newspapers in a developing society
