In this book you can find to what extent the Gottlieb (1992) model of translation strategies for subtitling is applicable to Persian-English subtitling of one of the most famous Iranian TV series 'MADARE-SEFR DAREJEH”. Gottlieb’s (1992) typology of subtitling strategies includes Transfer, Imitation, Transcription, Expansion, Paraphrase, Dislocation, Condensation, Deletion, Decimation and Resignation.
