Sardar Shahid Ghasem Soleimani, son of Hassan, was born on March 11, 1965 in the city of Rabor in the province of Kerman in the Soleimani nomadic tribe. At the age of 12, after finishing primary school, he left his hometown and started working as a construction worker in Kerman. At the age of 18, he worked as a contractor in the Water Organization, and in the same years, he started his revolutionary activities. During the events of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, he met a Mashhad cleric named Reza Kamyab and introduced him to the currents of the revolution. He was one of the main organizers of the marches and strikes in Kerman during the revolution.
