Water pollution is now emerging as a major problem in the developing world and its abatement has always been issued in our environmental concern today. The problem of removing organic and inorganic pollutants from water and wastewater has grown with rapid industrialization. The effective removal of heavy metals from aqueous wastes is among the most important issues for many industrialized countries. The use of agriculture and home wastes could increase economic return and reduce pollution. The aim of the present investigation is the removal of Manganese (II)zinc (II)andiron (II) from aqueous solutions using home wastes like Pomegranate and mango seeds and activated carbon prepared from Pomegranate and mango seeds as sorbents. The activated carbon was investigated to find the suitability of its application for removal of the heavy metals under study. The effects of various parameters such as adsorbent dose, pH, temperature, contact time, and solute concentration were extensively studied. The obtained results will fit to both Langmuir and Freundlich isotherms.
