This book starts with a historical outlook. It discusses previous shootings that have taken place on post-secondary campuses, how violence originated, and how it was introduced to the American Culture. In addition, the author examined the legalities and regulations (“Clery Act”) when it comes to reporting crimes that takes place on post-secondary campuses, and how these reporting regulations affect the campus, surrounding communities, stakeholders, and the decision making process. The latter part of the book, evaluated how post-secondary leaders are currently responding to violence at their respective institutions, and how these decisions are affecting the overall relationships between stakeholders and post-secondary leaders, community members and post-secondary leaders, and the campus community as a whole.
