This work studied in details the occurrence of Clostridium perfringens enterotoxin in different types of samples and its role in causing food poisoning in human starting from the bacterioliogical level (isolation, biochemical characteristics), the molecular level (genotyping by multiplex PCR and enterotoxin proteins profiling (SDS-PAGE) ), serological level (based on using monoclonal antibodies for qualitative determination of Clostridium perfringens enterotoxin in stool samples) to biological level (Vero cell assay and observing morphological changes in experimentally infected rabbit).
