Computer-assisted language learning (CALL) has played an important role in language learning in the recent decades; however, few researchers rarely focused on this applicable kind of learning from teachers’ views. Based on theories of human agency, it is essential to know people’ perceptions and acceptance of the information and computer technology (Rogers, 1983) Hence, this study explores teachers’ perceptions on the widespread teaching and learning approaches utilizing computer-assisted language learning in the subject English language institutes in Kurdistan. The purpose of this study was to investigate the usage and perception of Iranian English Language teachers of English language institutes in Kurdistan towards the use of computer technology in EFL courses. This study also explored teachers’ perceptions towards computer and information technology and factors contributing to their perceptions so as to provide some constructive information and suggestions for the adoption and application of computer-assisted language learning experience and knowledge to their language teaching.
