This book provides a theoretical framework employed as a basis for the analysis of the results obtained, with the purpose of understanding the potential linkage(s) existing between qualitative outsourcing strategy, project knowledge management and service quality in terms of performance in execution of projects. This research utilises an individual questionnaire methodology combined to an in-depth analysis of three case studies, to understand how managers perceive outsourcing strategy and the management of knowledge in relation to the service quality delivered. The research findings indicate that hiring the right employees with the aim of selecting the right vendors and build strong relationships was crucial. The research also demonstrates that by gaining the required knowledge and implementing the right processes in terms of partnerships, training and culture, the firm tends to obtain a better management of its knowledge. Finally, results certify that a strong inter-connection exists between qualitative outsourcing strategy, project knowledge management and service quality in terms of performance in execution of projects.
