Cyprus is the third largest island in the Mediterranean sea. It has come under the domination of many nations throughout its history. Cyprus was under the dominations of Venetians, Ottomans, Britians, Cypriot Turks and Greeks. It is known that; these civilisations have left traces on architectural buildings. That’s why ornamentations on village dwellings reflect patterns, figures, ornamentations and labours of each socities. However, being abandoned of these dwellings made them neglected and deteriorated because of the immigrations from villages. It is seen that structures have deteriorated by not being protected of wearing, made innovations by using improper materials for textures and applications of different labours. It is documented that lots of ornamentations and historical heritages have been damaged in these conditions. The main aim of this study is to analyse the villages which are ornamented on the dwellings of traditional Cyrus villages and then make an evaluation on the content relation of ornaments which were documented at the end of these analyses.
