Beyond Paradigms in Science

This book (selection of studies) is the outcome of the authors lectures given in the post-graduate course on Theory of Science and Research Methodology at KTH, Stockholm, Conferences on Philosophy of Science in Gothenburg and Krakow, as well as various talks, seminar and symposiums predominantly at Uppsala University and Stockholm University. This set of scientific studies aims at a critical examination of some important questions of philosophy of science. In carrying this exploration out, the author deemed it necessary to analyze the following: future of science, philosophy of social sciences, philosophy of history as a science and ontological aspects of contemporary physics. The author believes that the exposition in the following collection of studies possesses internal coherence and a ‘red thread’, but also that the studies can stand on their own merit. Due to the importance of various epistemological aspects of science in general upon which Dr. Nihad Haas has touched in this work, it seemed obvious to him to advance some views on questions which are of certain interest for the philosophy of science, in general.
