The prevalence of dental caries is high in children across the globe. The conventional drilling method of removing caries is linked to numerous disadvantages and may adversely affect children’s behavior. In the field of pediatric dentistry, an urge to adopt a more comfortable, less traumatic and stress-less technique for caries removal became a must. In addition, the fact that dentistry is evolving towards minimally invasive approaches necessitated using alternative approaches, such as the chemomechanical caries removal method. BRIX3000 is the latest introduced papain enzyme-based chemical debriding agent. New cutting burs made of ceramic (Cerabur) were introduced with the advantage of having a better tactile feeling during caries excavation. There is a constant demand for a durable restoration that remains functional until exfoliation. Therefore, restorative system improvements that enhance restoration longevity are required, which led to the introduction of a new fill and coat system composed of glass hybrid restoration (EQUIA Forte HT) and resin coating (EQUIA Forte coat).
